1989 Establishment of Sun Instruments Japan Co., Ltd.
Begins importation and sales of critical care products as the Japanese legal entity of Biosensors International. (BSI)
1991 BSI begins the manufacture and sales of critical care products, and starts expanding globally.
In the same year, research and development begins in the area of cardiovascular therapy.
1998 Establishment of Biosensors International Group Ltd. (BIG)
1999 Sun Instruments Japan Co., Ltd. becomes Biosensors Japan Co., Ltd.
2000 BIG enters into the field of cardiovascular therapy.
2002 Sales begin in Japan of the Powerline™ PTCA balloon catheter.
2005 BIG is listed on the Singapore Exchange (SGX).
2007 Sales begin in Japan of the S-STENT™ coronary artery stent system.
2012 Main office is transferred to its present location in Uchisaiwaicho, Chiyoda-ku.
In the same year, the company entered into the field of cardiac imaging systems.
2013 Sales begin in Japan of the D-SPECT™ cardiac imaging system and the ibp-22® PTCA balloon Catheter.
2017 Sales begin in Japan of the BioFreedom™ Drug coated stents.
