1989 | Establishment of Sun Instruments Japan Co., Ltd. Begins importation and sales of critical care products as the Japanese legal entity of Biosensors International. (BSI) |

1991 | BSI begins the manufacture and sales of critical care products, and starts expanding globally. In the same year, research and development begins in the area of cardiovascular therapy. |
1998 | Establishment of Biosensors International Group Ltd. (BIG) |
1999 | Sun Instruments Japan Co., Ltd. becomes Biosensors Japan Co., Ltd. |
2000 | BIG enters into the field of cardiovascular therapy. |
2002 | Sales begin in Japan of the Powerline™ PTCA balloon catheter. |
2005 | BIG is listed on the Singapore Exchange (SGX). |
2007 | Sales begin in Japan of the S-STENT™ coronary artery stent system. |
2012 | Main office is transferred to its present location in Uchisaiwaicho, Chiyoda-ku. In the same year, the company entered into the field of cardiac imaging systems. |
2013 | Sales begin in Japan of the D-SPECT™ cardiac imaging system and the ibp-22® PTCA balloon Catheter. |
2017 | Sales begin in Japan of the BioFreedom™ Drug coated stents. |
